“Ronin Yoshino” is the manga series I’m currently working on. It took approx. 8 years of research on Japanese Culture- the language, folklore, customs, history & clothing. All of which has taken an incredible amount of work, which is fun since I am still learning! The characters are all based on historical figures & personalities inspired from people I know. I’ve also written a few other manga shorts too, such as Hidesato! Both Ronin Yoshino and Hidesato won awards from ADV films & FUNimation contests.
This site introduces you to the story, characters & the world it takes place in. It’s an action-adventure, historical samurai/fantasy drama series. I try my best to maintain Ronin Yoshino as authentic as possible, attempting to re-tell famous legends & remain historically acurate. Much of my inspiration comes from ancient civilizations, Hokosai & Hiroshige ukiyo-e art, tradtional Japanese folklore & the master of samurai films: Akira Kurosawa.
