SomeiYoshino
She’s a rebellious warrior who refuses to serve or obey anyone. Yoshino is loyal and determined but can be quite stubborn, haughty, temperamental and vengeful. Her guarded and aloof personality tends to steer others away from her. Being bluntly honest and full of pride often gets her into tight situations.
Hachisu, Akatsuki
She’s very resourceful, logical and follows her instincts. At times feeling insecure, changeable, emotional and will hold a grudge for an eternity (but not vengeful because she believes in Karma). Because she’s introverted and usually keeps to herself, her eyes tend to show what she is really thinking and a good warning sign for others to back off! She can’t stand those who act like meek sheep. Akatsuki is classy and refined and doesn’t tolerate any bull from anyone.
Kagekiri
He’s very loyal and protective towards SomeiYoshino. Kagekiri is tenacious and ambitious but can be resentful, brooding and potentially self-destructive. He can be quite extreme, due to his yokai nature. Preferring to keep his inner feelings secretive, he can be rather sensitive (since he has trouble expressing his true feelings).
Iteza
He’s a stubborn, temperamental and skittish Prevalski Horse, but is quite smart and affectionate towards his companions. Iteza was befriended by SomeiYoshino when he was a pony. Even though he’s shy, he enjoys traveling wherever his companions go.
Tomoe, Tenchi, Shizen
He’s a gentle soul that tends to be impressionable (perhaps due to his naive nature). Shizen is rather easygoing, spiritual and follows his instincts. He is sympathetic towards others and can be quite impractical and indecisive. Being almost a pacifist, he tends to choose the responsibility of delivering messages from other lords, rather than fighting in battles. He is unquestionably loyal to Takemaru, Arashi.
Takemaru, Arashi
He’s a disciplined, career-oriented and authoritative man who’s practical and focused on his goals. Takemaru is very persistent when he wants something and greedy in the process. His serious, callous and self-important attitude became part of him from through the struggles and stress of becoming a conquering Feudal Lord. He shares the pain of war with his vassel Shizen who is both an equal and a friend to him.
Wakaba, Kouyou
He’s tenacious, reserved and passionate. He has a tendency to become manipulative. He can be a braggart and unforgiving to those who stab him in the back. It’s difficult to tell what he’s thinking because he values his privacy greatly, so he is quite secretive. His intense presence makes it hard not to notice him. Kouyou is also very observant of his surroundings and adept at reading facial and body expressions.
